American Bang by Doug Richardson is out now on Audible
Hello again, dear Audiobooks Fans! Last year I highlighted and reviewed here the first three audiobooks in the Lucky Dey series of thrillers by Doug Richardson. As I enjoyed all of them very much, I was really happy when I learned that even more adventures are coming to Audible.
Today, I want to tell you a little about American Bang, book 4 which is available now in audiobook format, narrated by the amazing Tim DeKay. The audio version of American Bang is a little over 10 hours in duration and it’s self-published by the author.
From the Publisher’s Summary we can learn more about the story:
Back at it again, L.A. cop Lucky Dey is determined to protect those he loves.
This time, the deadly chain of events starts when a teenager’s thoughtless transgression turns fatal. The chaos the sudden outburst sets in motion extends beyond anyone’s imagination.
Now Lucky’s facing a cabal of corrupt cops and Armenian gangsters who want blood – if not his, then they’ll settle for his family’s. No matter which way he turns, Lucky’s enemies – old and new – lie in wait. And the danger is just beginning.
Below you can find more info about the author and the narrator of this awesome series that’s getting better and better, with every new book.
Doug Richardson cut his teeth writing movies like DIE HARD 2, BAD BOYS, and HOSTAGE. But scratch the surface and discover he thinks there’s a killer inside all of us.
His Lucky Dey books exist between the gutter and the glitter of a morally suspect landscape he calls Luckyland–aka Los Angeles – the city of Doug’s birth and where he lives with his wife, two children, four big mutts, and the dead body he’s still semi-convinced is buried in his San Fernando Valley back yard.
The narrator is Tim DeKay and he has a wide range of work in film, television and theater. For six seasons, he starred as “Peter Burke” in White Collar on USA. Additional television work includes Here and Now (HBO), Tell Me You Love Me (HBO, 2007 AFI Award), Carnivale (HBO), American Crime(ABC) and many others.
His films include Best Man Wins, Get Smart, Peaceful Warrior, Big Eden, Swordfish, and others. His stage work covers Broadway, Off-Broadway, and National Tours.
Review coming next week, but I can tell you already that I love what I listened so far.
I also post reviews or articles at the author, narrator, or publisher’s request, so, if you are in need of assistance in finding the perfect narrator for your book or just want to have a review on my blog, do get in touch.
