A Ring of Truth is the second novel in the bestselling Henrietta and Inspector Howard Series of romantic mysteries set in mid-1930s Chicago, by award-winning author Michelle Cox.
The action of A Ring of Truth picks up exactly where the previous book, A Girl Like You, ended. Our two main protagonists, the young, poor, beautiful Henrietta and the serious Inspector Clive Howard are head-over-heels in love, they get engaged and it’s time to meet each other’s families. However, when Henrietta learns about a missing house servant, she can’t resist a good mystery and she is pulled into another dangerous situation. Add to that the fact that her own mother appears to keep dark secrets, Hen and Clive have to unravel more than one mystery.
Award-winning actor and narrator Jane Entwistle returns once again to the Henrietta and Inspector Howard series with another excellent performance. She reads beautifully and manages to instantly pull the listener into this enthralling tale. With a clear talent for voices, young and old, male or female, Jane Entwistle is the perfect narrator for this great romantic mystery.
