Review: Camino Winds by John Grisham, read by Michael Beck
#1 New York Times Best-selling and Award-winning author John Grisham returns to his fictional Camino Island in this new thrilling mystery.
The action of Camino Winds follows Bruce Cable, a respected book store owner, lover of stories and true friend to all authors. When one of his friends is found dead in mysterious circumstances after a devastating hurricane ravages the island paradise, Bruce starts his own investigation and soon he finds signs that things may not be as black and white as they seem.
Actor Michael Beck returns once again as the narrator of choice for Mr. Grisham‘s novels. He delivers another excellent performance, switching seamlessly and with ease between the characters, bringing each one of them to life with all kind of authentic voices and accents.
Camino Winds is not your regular legal thriller from the author who made them popular, but it’s a great page-turner, a superb Summer read and it would have been perfect to experience it on a beach, with the Sun shining down on us…. If you are in the mood for a quick and enthralling mystery filled with dark secrets, gossip and danger, this is the story you need to read.
I also post reviews or articles at the author, narrator or publisher’s request, so, if you are in need of assistance in finding the perfect narrator for your book or just want to have a review on my blog, do get in touch.
