New recording of classic children’s audiobook Peter Pan, available now narrated by the talented Victor Warren
Hello again, dear audiobooks friends! Today I want to let you all know about a new recording that is now available for the classic children’s story Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie, narrated by the talented director, actor, writer, and producer Victor Warren.
The audio production is five hours and a half in duration and it has been published by the respected folks at Spoken Realms.
Now, let’s discover what Peter Pan is all about from the Publisher’s Summary and after that, I will tell you a few interesting things about the narrator and the renowned author.
The beloved original story of Peter Pan, by J.M. Barrie, as performed by actor Victor Warren.
Peter Pan, the mischievous boy who refuses to grow up, lands in the Darling’s proper middle-class home to look for his shadow. He befriends Wendy, John and Michael and teaches them to fly (with a little help from fairy dust).
He and Tinker Bell whisk them off to Never-land where they encounter the Red Indians, the Little Lost Boys, pirates and the dastardly Captain Hook.
Victor Warren, a native Californian, has been acting since the age of ten. He is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University where he majored in Acting and Directing.
After graduation, Victor worked in California for over fifteen years for Universal Studios as a director, camera operator, technical director, announcer, and stunt show performer.
Victor then moved to the east coast where he works successfully as a director, actor, writer, and [roducer.
He is currently living on Cape Cod and is bi-coastal flying in where the work leads him. He is an award-winning director/writer and with the creation of his production company Glydascope, he plans to continue to expand his creative properties.
He recently can be seen as the irritated police Sargent O’Connor in My Daddy’s in Heaven and as Stephen Smith in Chappaquiddick.
If you would also like to know more about Sir James Matthew Barrie, 1st Baronet, OM – he was a Scottish novelist and playwright, best remembered as the creator of Peter Pan. He was born and educated in Scotland and then moved to London, where he wrote a number of successful novels and plays.
I can tell you that I’m really excited to discover this timeless adventure in the audiobook format because although I know the story of Peter Pan from movies, animations, and other media, I never experienced it in audio before.
I will return with the full review at the beginning of December, but until then, take care, stay safe, and don’t forget, always listen with your heart!
