Surviving Venice: Venice Trilogy, Book 3 audiobook cover depicting a person standing in the middle of Venice, in the water

Hello again, dear audiobooks friends! Today’s spotlight article is all about the third book in the Venice Trilogy that we have covered these last months here on The Audiobook Blog. Extremely talented author Anna Erikssön Bendewald invites the listener to another heart-pumping adventure in this magnificent city.

The audiobook production of Surviving Venice is a little under 11 hours in length, the Publisher is Hudson-Ivy Press, while renowned actor and audiobook narrator Kristen Sieh returns once again to this captivating saga in order to bring all its characters to life for everyone’s entertainment.

I suggest that we check out the Publisher’s Summary and after that, I can share with you a few interesting things about the author and the narrator

A story that snatches you up and sweeps you away! Book Three begins the morning after Salvio Scortini learns what happens when you bring a knife to a gunfight.

The war of biblical proportions is building to its final battle, and still, the pawns don’t see where they stand. Detective Lampani doggedly continues his investigation as the bodies pile up – hoping to close the case before whatever’s wrong with his head kills him. Raphielli Scortini discovers she has a rebellious streak a mile wide. Even in Exile, Giselle finds time to get creative, but her guardians put a damper on her dangerous style. And the architects of the whole plan suddenly discover too late that they’re disappearing one by one.

So satisfying that everything comes to a boiling point on a glacial carnival night no one will ever forget, and then there’s the Pope’s surprise for Lent!

Anna Erikssön Bendewald is the CEO of Hudson-Ivy Press and author of Meet Me At Père Lachaise a dishy self-guided walking tour of the most visited cemetery in the world and her Venice Trilogy takes the destination thriller genre back to the time of Hitchcockian suspense where the reader knows more than the characters and tension builds to delicious heights.

Anna has been a fan of Tony award-winning Broadway performer and House of Cards + Orange Is the New Black + Boardwalk Empire actress Kristen Sieh for years and fortuitously Ms. Sieh’s schedule allowed her to bring The Venice Trilogy to life with a riveting performance in which she pulled out some of her more impressive but lesser-known skills like her fluency in French and Italian!

I already made my way through more than half of Surviving Venice and I can tell you that the writing is fast and sharp, plus that the narrator is doing a fantastic job once again.

I will post a full review in the upcoming weeks, but until then, take care, stay safe, and don’t forget, always listen with your heart.
