Hello again, dear Audiobooks fans! I am really glad to let you all know that Gray Rinehart has released Walking on the Sea of Clouds in Audiobook Format.

This new Sci-Fi adventure is already available on Amazon in multiple formats and on Audible as an audiobook. The audio version is performed by Stephanie Minervino, published by WordFire Press LLC and it is 13 Hours and 33 Minutes in duratian.

The Publisher’s Summary gives us the follwing insight into the story:

Before permanent lunar encampments such as Clarke’s Clavius Base or Heinlein’s Luna City, could be built, there would have to be the first settlers – the first people to set up shop and try to eke out an existence on the Moon.

Walking On the Sea of Clouds is the story of such lunar pioneers: two couples, Stormie and Frank Pastorelli and Van and Barbara Richards, determined to survive and succeed in this near-future technological drama about the risks people will take, the emergencies they’ll face, and the sacrifices they’ll make as members of the first commercial lunar colony.

In the end, one will decide to leave, one will decide to stay, one will put off deciding…and one will decide to die so another can live.

From his profile page on Audible we find out that Gray Rinehart retired from the U.S. Air Force after a rather odd career. “Eclectic,” he likes to call it. During his first and second assignments, he researched and wrote the first edition of Quality Education. He is the only person to command an Air Force tracking station, write speeches for Presidential appointees, and have his music played on The Dr. Demento Show.

After retiring from active duty, Gray became a Contributing Editor for Baen Books, and also spent several years on the staff of the Industrial Extension Service at North Carolina State University. His fiction has appeared in Analog Science Fiction & Fact, Asimov’s Science Fiction, Orson Scott Card’s Intergalactic Medicine Show, several anthologies, and elsewhere.

He is also a singer/songwriter with two albums of mostly science-fiction-and-fantasy-inspired songs–two of which have been featured on The Dr. Demento Show.

Stephanie Minervino has a decade of experience in independent film and community theater in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina. She has worked behind and in front of the camera, and on stage has played such renowned roles as Cordelia in King Lear and “the Melancholy Jaques” in As You Like It. Walking on the Sea of Clouds is her first audiobook.
