Audiobook Review: Tempus Investigations by Claus Holm
Tempus Investigations is the first audiobook release for bestselling Danish author Claus Holm and it is an excellent beginning for a really entertaining new series. You can read the publisher’s summary for the plot, but I suggest that you don’t. All you need to know is that the story is broken into multiple short adventures, each of them set in different seasons and that the main character is an immortal police detective gone private eye.
As he deals with his immortality, Jim thinks about death, life, talks with ghosts, while making new friends and enemies. The story is set in San Francisco and unfolds beautifully, it is very fast paced and I must admit that I listened to the entire audiobook in just one sitting, being left wanting for more.
Neil Hellegers, the narrator, does a fantastic job in bringing the characters to life with different voices and accents. He is perfect for the Tempus Investigations series and I will gladly listen to him again. Really happy to have discovered a new great voiceover artist.
I recommend this book to those who like paranormal mysteries or tv series such as Buffy or Supernatural and can’t wait for the next one in the series, which I understand that it will be released in about one or two months.

Publisher’s Summary
Jim Corrigan died in 1933…but he returned to life. Now, he can’t die.
Through the first season, Jim and his friends match wits with the supernatural side of San Francisco, making both new friends – and a few enemies.
Tempus Investigations mixes the world of TV and books, making a unique kind of story – a fan fiction so elaborate it needed to create the show itself. In this audiobook, you’ll find the first four episodes, which form season one.
If you love shows like Buffy, Angel, and Supernatural – tune in for Tempus Investigations!
