Review: A Stitch in Time: A Star Trek Deep Space Nine Novel, written and performed by Andrew J. Robinson

A Stitch in Time, written and narrated by the absolutely fabulous Andrew J. Robinson, is a masterpiece of Star Trek literature. I picked up A Stitch in Time on Friday afternoon and by Monday morning I was done with it.
I could not stop listening to this captivating story that explores the life and mind of one of the most intriguing, mysterious, charismatic, and controversial characters in Star Trek history: Elim Garak.
A Stitch in Time is a must-listen for all Star Trek fans, but especially for those who love Deep Space Nine. It is the story you were waiting for, the story that reveals the secrets of Garak’s past, his motivations, his relationships, and his hopes for the future of mighty Cardassia.
It is a uniquely intense adventure that follows Garak as he attempts to stitch the ravaged society of Cardassia back together after the devastating Dominion War.
Garak is one of my favorite characters in Star Trek and it was endlessly entertaining listening to Mr. Robinson bringing him to life once again after so many years. His voice, his tone, his emotion, his humor, his sarcasm, his intelligence, his charm, his passion, his pain – everything that makes Garak such a fascinating and complex character is brilliantly conveyed by Mr. Robinson‘s flawless performance.
A Stitch in Time is not only a gripping, thrilling, entertaining and thought-provoking tale set in the best science-fiction universe ever created, but also a profound and insightful exploration of Garak’s nature, his morality, loyalty, friendship, love, and redemption. It is a rare and precious gem of science-fiction literature that shines in deep space among the stars of Star Trek.
Thank you, Andrew J. Robinson, for this unique contribution to the Star Trek family and for being a terrifically talented actor, writer and artist! You have given us a gift that we will cherish forever. A Stitch in Time is truly a work of literary art!
