The Legacy of Seven series by P.J. Flie continues with Darkness Falls, a thrilling fantasy adventure that blends magic and technology in entertaining and captivating ways. The audiobook is narrated by the author himself, who does a great job of bringing these characters and world to life. The audio production is 12 hours and 21 minutes long, but thanks to imaginative and vivid writing it never feels boring or slow-paced.

In this sequel, we follow Ondreeal, a young wizard who has learned to control her significant powers, but is plagued by visions of a dark future that she may be helpless to influence. On her epic journey she returns to Bastion, a city of light and hope, where she reunites with her mentor Sir Francis and their loyal robot companion. Together, they must face the looming threat of the darkness that is spreading across the land, and find a way to stop it before it is too late.

Darkness Falls is a well-written story that explores themes of destiny, courage, friendship, and sacrifice. The author creates a rich and immersive world that successfully combines elements of fantasy and science-fiction in an originally exciting way. The characters are likable and relatable, the plot is full of twists and turns, with a lot of action and suspense, leading to a satisfying conclusion that leaves the listener wanting for more.

I highly recommend Darkness Falls to everyone who enjoys fantasy stories with a healthy dose of sci-fi, or to anyone who appreciates authors who narrate their own work with passion and enthusiasm. Darkness Falls is a captivating adventure that will keep you hooked from start to finish and I can’t wait for the next installment in the Legacy of Seven series!
