Review: The Wild Dark by Katherine Silva, narrated by Lisa Roumain
The Wild Dark is the first book in The Wild Oblivion Series of horror paranormal novels by talented New England, horror author Katherine Silva and it introduces us to Liz Raleigh, a former cop who has lost everything and seeks refuge in a secluded cabin in the woods. Unfortunately, her solitude is soon shattered by a terrifying nightmare that unleashes the forces of darkness as the gates of hell are thrown open and the dead are returning to haunt the living.
The Wild Dark tells a gripping and suspenseful story that combines horror, romance, action and adventure. The author creates a vivid and immersive world that draws you in and makes you feel the fear, the pain and the hope of its characters with writing that is fast-paced, engaging and entertaining.
Los Angeles-based award-winning actor and narrator Lisa Roumain does an excellent job of bringing the story to life with her skill, passion and professionalism. She successfully portrays the different voices, emotions and personalities of the characters with ease and She also contributes to the atmosphere and the tension of the story with her pleasant performance and perfect pacing. The Wild Dark is a must-listen for fans of horror paranormal. It will keep you engaged from start to finish and will leave you wanting for more. I highly recommend it to diehard fans of the genre and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
