Hello again, dear audiobooks friends! Today’s spotlight article is dedicated to The Depresso Trilogy by Canadian writer O. W. Láav.

Award-Winning SAG/AFTRA narrator and voice actor Pamela Almand will keep us company and deliver high-quality entertainment for the almost 11 hours of the audio production.

Pam is one of my favorite narrators in the audiobook industry, and listening to her narrate these stories is like spending time with an old, close friend. Her narration is always top notch and after listening to the first three chapters of The Depresso Trilogy, I can’t wait to return to this new adventure.

let’s take a look at the Publisher’s Summary in order to find out more about the story and after that, I will tell you about Pamela and Mr. Láav.

What if you really, really wanted to die…but couldn’t?

Welcome to the life of Owen, a suicidal man who can’t seem to die, no matter how many times he’s tried.

Owen’s monotonous, bleak life is interrupted by a chance encounter with Dinah Borst, an ambitious but troubled police captain. The officer offers him the chance to find a purpose in life: Leverage his ability to avoid death and intervene clandestinely in cases where the police are hampered by red-tape.

Together, Owen and Dinah will attempt to make their city a better place by saving lives, fighting a psychopathic unkillable killer, and battling police corruption. But can they manage to overcome their personal challenges and become heroes, or will they sink into a pit of darkness and despair in the process?

Pamela Almand is an Audible Approved Producer, and a winner of multiple Voice Arts Awards and the coveted AudioFile’s Earphones Award, but also an Audie Award nominee.

As a former 747 captain for Northwest Airlines, Pam’s low-pitched voice served her well coming from the flight deck to calm and reassure her passengers. Now, with over a decade of professional award-winning voice acting experience, she provides voiceover and narration with not only calm professionalism and authority, but also conversational, friendly Mom-warmth…or smoky, sultry, low-pitched smoothness… all the way to dynamic and bright energy for infomercials and CTAs!

O. W. Láav is a Canadian writer who has spent most of his life in Toronto. A graduate of the University of Oxford, Láav’s life saw him pass through a variety of professional avenues–finance, machine learning research, high-school teaching, and analytics–as well as across three continents. He currently works in data science, but finds the time to write whenever he can.

I will return in late August or early September with a full review of The Depresso Trilogy, but until then, take care, stay safe, and don’t forget, always listen with your heart!

We hope that you enjoyed this article and, if you did, that you will share it with your friends on social media.
