Award-winning YA action-adventure Discovery of the Five Senses by K.N. Smith, out now as audiobook narrated by Glenn Steinbaum
Hello again, dear audiobooks friends! Today’s spotlight article is dedicated to Discovery of the Five Senses, a new young adult fantasy audiobook from award-winning author K.N. Smith. Even more exciting, I think, is the fact that this is the first book in The Urban Boys Series, so if we like this one, we will have more adventures to look forward to.
The audiobook is narrated by Glenn Steinbaum, features music and sound effects, has a run time of a little over eight hours and is published by Author’s Republic.
As you well know, if you follow my blog or my reviews, I love a good fantasy story, so I am really excited to check out Discovery of the Five Senses. Now, it is time to share with you the Publisher’s Summary and after that to help you make the acquaintance of our author and narrator.
A suspenseful incident in a forbidden preserve heightens the senses of five friends. Sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell become super-gifts that forever change the world. But furious battles confront the boys as they try to understand their sensory super powers in a race to save mankind. With light beings and mysterious strangers complicating their plight, can the boys defeat the evil Druth before it’s too late?

Glenn Steinbaum was born and raised in Los Angeles. Growing up in a Hollywood town meant being raised around a lot of artists. During his high school years, a family friend was working in VO, and considering Glenn had already established a reputation for having a pleasing voice, both spoken and singing, he realized he too had an interest in the VO industry.
He quickly realized while taking his first voice-over workshop at age 19, that this was really an acting job above all else. So, he took acting classes in college at UC Berkeley during the school year, and then VO workshops in LA during the summers. While at Berkeley, he also sang bass with the prestigious UC Men’s Octet, and performed for thousands of people around the world.
After college, his studies in the world of voice-over did not stop. He took as many classes as he could, wanting to be as prepared as possible before heading into the professional world and competing with the best. This preparation paid off, as he landed at the top agency, DPN. He started auditioning, and a little over a year later, he was a full-time VO actor.
Glenn’s voice has been heard by millions of people around the world, representing Fortune 500 companies, major TV networks, and Hollywood film studios.
As always, I will return in the upcoming weeks with a full review for Discovery of the Five Senses, but until then, take care, stay safe, and don’t forget, always listen with your heart!
We hope that you enjoyed this article and, if you did, that you will share it with your friends on social media.
