Review: GraphicAudio’s dramatized adaptation of Clean Sweep, Innkeeper Chronicles, Book 1 by Ilona Andrews

Clean Sweep is the first book in the Innkeeper Chronicles series of fantasy mysteries by the New York Times Bestselling husband-and-wife writing team publishing their works under the Ilona Andrews pseudonym.

The story in Clean Sweep follows Dina Demille, a young woman, as she runs a relatively successful Victorian Bed and Breakfast establishment in an out-of-the-way and secluded small Texas town.

But she is much more than the eye can see. Her lodgings are perfectly suited for visitors from far away and some of them have all sorts of fantastic powers or abilities. Alas, her life and those of the clueless neighbors will be deeply affected by a series of gruesome murders and as a result of that, readers and listeners alike will be pulled into a captivating adventure filled with unthinkable danger, weird creatures, a little romance, and powerful magic.

The writing is fast, good, and vivid. The characters are memorable and the plot will keep you interested ’till the end of this exciting tale.

I was pleasantly impressed by the writing, by the lively and colorful characters, by the enjoyable story and of course, by the high-quality audio production and I will gladly return to this series in the future.
